The Frio Canyon is known for the Frio River. TerraTx invites you to discover the art, stories, landscapes, and culture that make this place special.

Join us for three days of murals, live music, workshops, storytelling, and hands-on art across Leakey and Concan with featured artists Matt Tumlinson and David Casillas.

KICKOFF AT GYPSY SALLY’S

Friday, September 25 | 6:00–10:00 PM | Leakey

Kick off TerraTx with an evening of live music, food and drinks, storytelling, and hands-on art activities. Meet participating artists and enjoy the first celebration of a weekend inspired by the art, culture, history, and landscapes of the Frio Canyon.

LEGENDS OF THE LAND

Saturday, September 26 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM | Concan Visitor Center

Experience a living outdoor museum celebrating the people, traditions, art, and ecology of the Frio Canyon. Enjoy artist demonstrations, storytelling, blacksmithing, leatherwork, vaquero heritage, local history, live music, hands-on art activities, and interactive experiences for all ages.

FROM THE LAND TO THE MOON

Saturday, September 26 | 6:00–10:00 PM | The Springs Retreat, Leakey

An evening celebrating the connection between art, nature, and the night sky. Enjoy live music, participatory art, presentations on native plants and wildlife, a mohair fashion show, and the Keep It Real Beautiful Moon Party.

Sunday, September 27 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Old Concan Schoolhouse

Close out the weekend with a creative Sunday morning featuring music by Micah Edwards, live painting, and a celebration of the artists, stories, and landscapes that make the Frio Canyon so special.
